Aware NOT Afraid Martial Arts is a youth development martial arts program designed to help children build confidence, leadership, respect, self-discipline, street smart self defense, and stronger academic habits. Each class helps children strengthen their bodies, sharpen their minds, and develop the confidence needed to overcome challenges at school, at home, and throughout life. Through structured instruction, positive encouragement, and regular belt advancement, students will learn: Confidence and positive self-esteem Leadership and personal responsibility Respect for themselves and others Focus, discipline, and improved behavior Practical self-defense and safety awareness Balance, flexibility, coordination, and physical fitness Goal-setting, perseverance, and academic motivation Street smart kidnapping prevention techniques Bully prevention strategies Students have the opportunity to participate in belt testing every two months at the end of each quarter, where they demonstrate the skills and techniques they have learned. Successful students receive their next belt, a certificate, and medal recognizing their progress.
