  • DRIVER'S EDUCATION SANDALWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

    Classes will be held in the portable on the driver's ed range. Enter Gate 8 on Sam Hardwick and the Driver’s Ed portable/range on the left.Instruction begins promptly at 3:00 pm and concludes at 6:00 pm on Monday and Wednesday. Parents/guardians, please ensure students are picked up on time. Supervision is not available after 6:00 pm.A valid Learner's Permit is required before the start of the session.Student Requirements:Dress appropriately for outdoor activities, as portions of the course will take place outside.Wear sneakers or other flat, closed-toe shoes always for safety. Flip-flops, sandals, and high heels are not permitted.On the first day of class, students must provide:Date of BirthLast five digits of their Social Security NumberVehicles will be provided for all driving instruction sessions. Course Components The Driver Education program consists of three components. 1.Classroom instruction 2.Driving Range Training 3.On-Street Driving Students must earn an average score of 70% or higher on all assessments in each component to qualify for a Driver’s License Waiver. We look forward to helping students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become safe and responsible drivers.
